Our space

Zero Waste

We seek to empower communities to be more sustainable, and this extends to hiring out our Sustainability Centre. We ask that you use our whiteware and zero waste station rather than bringing in single-use. Any food scraps will be composted onsite.

Shared space

The Centre is actively used by WRT staff as well as our refillery customers 9-5pm on weekdays. If you require more privacy, let us know and we will be happy to find a solution which ensures minimal disruption of your booking.

Kai Conscious Café

Please note that every Friday we host a community lunch made out of kai that we rescue and cook up on site. We therefore can’t take bookings Friday 10-5pm.

Payment

Half day booking fee: $100 – Full day booking fee: $180* (fees must be paid in advance).

‌This includes full use of our Centre facilities including the kitchen and video conferencing facilities.

‌Please get in touch directly to arrange for catering, transport, and post-meeting activities, which will come at additional cost to you.

Cancellations

Cancellations within the 48-hour period before your booking will incur a charge of 50% of the booking fee.

Booking Conditions

Please do not smoke or vape in the Centre.
We will not host hate groups or gambling events.
We ask that you are considerate of our neighbours when playing music, and keep it down after 9 pm.
We reserve the right to cancel a regular booking in exceptional circumstances should the space be needed for WRT use. A full refund will be provided and notice will be given.
The hours you have booked for are inclusive of any event set up and pack down; you cannot arrive before your booking You must ensure that the booking time includes sufficient setup and pack down time for your event.
It is the event organiser’s responsibility to ensure the respectful use Sustainability Centre’s equipment, furniture and space. You agree to indemnify WRT against any damage to the Centre or its facilities.
The Centre must be left in a tidy manner after the booking.
If you wish to make any changes to the booking, it is your responsibility to get in touch with us as soon as you can. Changes must be made prior to the booking, and we cannot guarantee that they will be accommodated.
Any booking cancellation must be communicated to WRT 48 hours prior to the booking, otherwise, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
You are not permitted to sell liquor without a valid licence. It is the event organiser’s responsibility to ensure that alcohol laws are being followed at the event.
