Support us

We really appreciate our partnership with Love Our Wetlands. At Terra and Tide, we want to make a positive contribution to the environment that we operate in and through our partnership with Love our Wetlands, we are able to do this – through tree donation, planting assistance and being able to offer tree planting opportunities to our guests. It is great to know that over time we will be able to track our contribution and know that we have made a positive impact to Waiheke’s increasing biodiversity and forestation.

Make a bequest
Leave a legacy to create a more sustainable future

We believe that when environments are healthy and communities are connected, people and wildlife can flourish, and within that community a strong economy can exist.

Leaving a bequest to Waiheke Resources Trust is a meaningful and enduring choice. When you consider a bequest, you are not just giving a gift; you are leaving a lasting legacy. This ensures your values will carry on, inspire others, and give us the opportunity to create transformational change through community collaboration and development as we work to celebrate and protect our natural resources.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about our projects, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Types of bequests

Leaving a gift for WRT in your will is relatively simple to do. We encourage you to seek advice from a qualified legal professional and to let your whānau know your intentions.

  • Residuary bequest
This is the gift of whatever is left in a will after all other gifts have been distributed.
  • Specified sum or assets
To leave a specific amount of money, real estate, shares, bonds, items, or a nominated gift to the charity.
  • Endowment fund
An investment fund established by a foundation that makes consistent withdrawls from invested capital. Set up by philanthropist for the WRT.
  • Gift of natural areas

Discuss with the WRT first if you would like to bequest a natural area. To help us care for the area gifted, provision should be made under your will for a fund, payable to the WRT for the ongoing maintenance of the property.
