corporate volunteering

We would love to have your group on board to help restore our wetlands and connect with the land.

Key information

Generally, groups travel over on the 9am ferry and finish volunteering with enough time to explore the island afterwards or catch the 3pm ferry home.

We can typically host groups Tuesday through Thursday.

Groups are responsible for bringing appropriate clothing and shoes, drink bottles and lunch.

WRT invoices the group after the day, and you only need to pay for the number of volunteers who attended.

Logistics and Cost

Your team lead will be responsible for booking your ferry travel to the island. You can do this online or call +64 9 367 9111

The cost is $15 per volunteer, which contributes to the planting and care of native trees on Waiheke Island. Applicable for Tuesday & Thursdays

If your group would like to attend outside of our standard planting days the cost is $500.

*WRT can arrange for additional transport as needed based on group size; for groups over 18 pax this would be an extra cost to the $15pp price.

WRT invoices the group after the day, and you only need to pay for the number of volunteers who attended.

What do volunteers do?

Volunteers would remove invasive weeds, release native trees from weeds to ensure their long-term survival, and depending on the time of year may get to do some planting.
